José Caetano Silva, managing partner of Talent Search in Portugal and Spain, also points to the existence of new operators in the market as a problem, when they do not comply with the ethical standards of the profession, with regard to their treatment of both candidates and the clients. Silva would solve the problem “seeking among the companies that really conduct executive searches, a regulatory interpretation to which they would subscribe, a bit like the AESC (Association of Executive Search Consultants) does with its ‘bill of rights’ of candidates and clients, clarifying how the profession should be exercised.
